Deb always says, “leap and the net will appear”. She is extraordinary in this way (and in so many others) and fully lives this. I’m somewhat more tentative, but game to learn and change. Working on it…

Blogging is new for me. Plunging ahead with a hope that this writing, these stories, and the many facets of our collaboration, may collectively wend and work their way toward something of use. We have intuitions and ideas, shared intent - our north - that we are working to grow and share.

Together we’re a unique and complicated pair of souls seeking to entwine and focus our creative energies within our communities. We are interested in being of service, especially locally, in small and large ways, within the realms of our combined longtime endeavors in the creation of things: art, architecture, interiors, jewelry, objects, graphics, music, social infrastructure, community events.

And we are interested in telling stories.

Many of us are asking ourselves, what can we do that really matters in this moment. There are many good answers. Rather than focus on the darkness and retreat inward, though we witness events with eyes open as we ‘countdown to 48’ (more on that to come), through the Porch Project we shift our focus outward - to connection, to things that may uplift, to unique and unusual people, projects, places, art, music, communities…
